Eye Emergencies
Eye emergencies happen unexpectedly, and we’re here for you when they do. The most common types of eye emergencies are sudden loss of vision, sudden double vision, sudden eye pain, new onset of light flashes and/or floaters, foreign body in the eye, chemicals in the eye, or swelling or pain after eye surgery.

Comprehensive Eye Exams
Regular eye and vision examinations are an important part of preventive health care. Many eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms, so you might not know a problem exists. Early diagnosis and treatment of eye and vision problems can help prevent vision loss.

Pediatric Exams
Generally, children should have their eyes examined by an eye doctor at the start of school. We welcome patients of all ages as needed to check the health of your eyes.In addition to basic visual acuity (distance and near vision) an eye exam may assess visual skills that are required for learning and mobility.

Contact Fittings
We take the time to determine the best-fitting lens based on your needs, eye shape, and eye health. We’ll also show you proper care and will continue with long-term follow-up.

Dry Eye
Persistent dryness, scratchiness and a burning sensation on your eyes are common symptoms of dry eye syndrome, and consequences range from minor irritation to the inability to wear contact lenses and an increased risk of corneal inflammation and eye infections.

Retinal Imaging / Optomap
We take the time to obtain images that give the doctors a wide field of view and insight that they otherwise wouldn’t have. This helps us monitor your total eye health year after year and can detect eye disease early on. This quick, non-invasive layer is added on to your regular eye exam as part of your comprehensive treatment.

Ocular Disease Mgmt.
At Dunlap Vision we focus on earlier and more precise diagnosis which then means earlier treatment and better outcomes for you. Utilizing cutting edge technology, we are diagnosing and managing, with greater precision, diseases like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts.

Last Tuesday was #nationalvideogamesday, so let`s talk about one easy thing you can do (and can encourage your kids to do) to help your eyes while using devices.
We call it the 2️⃣0️⃣ / 2️⃣0️⃣ / 2️⃣0️⃣ rule.
Take a break every 2️⃣0️⃣ minutes....
...by looking at something 2️⃣0️⃣ feet away...
...for 2️⃣0️⃣ seconds.

You know that the foods you eat impact your health. Did you know that food also specifically impacts your EYE health?
Today, on #nationalfoodismedicineday, we`re sharing some tips for foods you can eat to help your eyes.
🥦 Spinach kale, broccoli, and eggs contain antioxidants that help form a protective layer deep in the eye that acts like sunglasses.
💦 Water keeps your eyes hydrated.
🐟 Cold-water ocean fish such as salmon and tuna contain Omega-3s that produce tears and help dry eye.
🥕 Orange-colored veggies like carrots and sweet potatoes contain vitamins A & E that protect the retina.
🥗 Dark, leafy greens contain lutein and zeaxanthin that can help prevent macular degeneration.
